NO LONG HOLIDAYS FOR QUEENSLANDERS OVERSEAS.  YOU ARE BARRED BY THE QLD LABOR GOVERNMENT LIKE NAUGHTY CHILDREN.  OR YOU WILL FACE A HUGE PENALTY TO DESTROY YOUR FINANCES.  WELCOME TO THE CURFEW STATE.

Queensland is the only State in Australia that restricts its Aussie citizens holding property in QLD, from being out of Australia for more than 6-months.

Yes, that's right - Australians are affected. No more long holidays or special trips for Queenslander home owners too. Retirees better pack their bags and get back before the 6 month curfew expires - or pay many thousands of dollars in the disgraceful taxes.

Like Cinderella's beautiful carriage turning into an ugly pumpkin before the stroke of Midnight, you had better get back before the stroke of midnight; before the 6 month deadline or your 'pumpkin' will be the ugly Office of the State Treasury holding out a Tax bill for you to pay.  Your trip has now become a nightmare.

You may have to resort to any long vacations in a campervan or staying in Australian hotels/motels.  No long overseas vacations are possible now if you cannot afford the taxes.  Labor wants you to stay put and spend all your money in QLD.  This is State control akin to Communism.  It has crept into the system.


YOUR OVERSEAS FRIENDS WILL WAVE YOU GOODBYE AS YOU COME HOME EARLY 

Imagine this - you, as a Queenslander property owner are overseas for a lifetime trip. You are to meet a group of friends or family for a well deserved and anticipated vacation. The trip is several months long.

As you near the six-month mark it is decided to extend the trip because everyone is having such a good time and don't want to return back to Australia just yet - or the trip was planned longer than the 6 months.

Unfortunately for you - you own property in Queensland. And your State Government has the most punitive laws in the land. So off the the airport for you.

All your family and friends wave you goodbye as you head to the airport head held low and despising the government you elected. Don't worry, they will send you postcards and emails! But it dawns on you, that your State is very different to the others.

Socialism comes to mind. State control. No longer can you travel at your own pace. The clock is ticking and if you stay you will foot QLD Office of State revenue bill in the many thousands of dollars $$$$$.  😡
